Just a thought, remember to take photo ID in case they do a wristband thing for entry before the show, after you have paid for entry this afternoon.

There will almost certainly be some proper gigs, I'm convinced he's doing this to build the hype.

Prince also said in interview yesterday that they will "work our way up, if people like us, to bigger venues" and the length of his stay in London would be "open ended". There's no way he dragged himself and his crew over here without eyeing up a larger venue or two for a pay day down the line. He's going to be well received so my guess is after a month of smaller venue hit and run shows he'll take a run at somewhere like Earls Court, Wembley Arena, etc ....be nice to see him in O2 again for old times sake 'cos of the great memories we all have from 2007, but that depends on whether he sees it as repeating himself....he enjoyed it there, so who knows. There's gaps in the O2 calendar the next couple of months so fingers crossed...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news...s-26045864

If he does 10 shows though with an average of 1000 capacity maybe more, he will grab over £100k (Basing it on if he meant £10 instead of dollars) which isnt bad for very little work/organisation the logistics of transporting his gear around london will be reletively simple, and these smaller venues will probabaly charge little hire costs for the fact he will be bringing them more publicity than most people not to mention they will be filled and make a fortune on the bar.

This is all ridiculously frustrating. I'm 35, I have a family and a job and I live in Bristol. And I'm faced with this Hit N Run nonsense. So Prince playing dates in London in 2014 has gone from being a Great Thing to a massive disappointment.

Me too but I STILL can't get off here or twitter. Promised myself that as soon as a finish my tea I'm going to get on with being a person!

That's what I'm going to do. I'm 100 miles away. I have work tomorrow. If I knew I could get a ticket and get home again tonight I'd be on a train now and I'd stand in the rain til whatever time. but I don't know either of those things so, I'm gonna go and get on with my day. Maybe it will work out in a few days time...

my first post in about 6 years........

As usual, London wins again. As a fan of Prince for nearly 30 years ( from Scotland ) I guess the only way that you're going to see the wee man is if you live nearby and are able to drop everything at a moments notice and run. I'm sure this 'hit and run' set up is great for his management and publicity gurus', but for your average fan, it's just rubbish. Starting to get really fed up with the unfairness of it all Prince. I permed my hair ( on one side ) in the 80's, wore paisley park pyjamas to school, queued endlessly for various merchandise over the years, bought TONS of records ( and still have a healthy 12 inch picture disc collection in my spare room ) have seen you 6 times in concert, had a few beers and a good laugh with the NPG in a hotel in Glasgow in 1992, but now, with a busy life, a wife and two young children, it is impossible, and actually probably not desirable, to drop everything and flee. So come on wee man, play the game. Give us all a fair chance,.eh?

I'm tired if this hit and run shit....

The guy can sell out 21 nights at the O2 for f**ks sake and his playing to a crowd the size of what probably amounts to the contents of his mobile phone contacts!

Stop pissing about and give your fans an equal chance if they live in London or not!

FIRM VENUES, FIRM GIG DATES, FIRM TICKET PRICES AND FIRM ON SALE DATES

We can Funk!!!!

I know how y'all feel. I live and work in London but.... I'm just not going to be able to bunk off work for an afternoon to queue for tickets. Here's hoping for some gigs with properly organised ticketing.

Any definite sign of anything actually happening at 2pm? Or is it still just Twitter rumours? Anyone in the venue box office yet?

As soon as my cover comes I am getting a taxi from earls court, assuming they are not sold out, I am gonna get as many tickets as is permitted, if I have extra ones I will let you know on here...back in 2007 a friend did me a massive favour, based on the fact I was a fellow fan, if I can I will do the same...
If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Hey, Tony on his way, he's had a nightmare on the trains getting there, he's not far from venue I don't think. He WILL make contact with you, I think he might be seeing first how many tickets he can get as I know he'd love his phone call to you to say that he's got you a ticket! But yeah, those who can get there should definitely try to get tix for those who can't. We're Prince Family!

I'm down the road and round the corner, must be several 100 in front of me. If it's one ticket per person, I should get in. Two per person and it looks iffy!

Good luck everyone! This is so exciting, takes me back to 2007 & nice to 'see' so many familiar 'faces' here again.......I was lucky enough to go to the Koko back in 2007 & it was amazing smile & 7 of the 21 nights & 3 aftershows......Humpalina, the glow sticks & a great t-shirt (from The English Gent poss?)

Sadly, a job & two children make it impossible to just drop & go these days & I'm laughing here at some of the comments, how times have changed from the 80's when everyone was young & carefree & able to go at the drop of a hat & now most people are in their 40/50's & have hectic lives, I wish Prince took that into account sad

Look forward to hearing how it goes (if it goes).......

First post since 2007... Thanks for all the updates guys, the Org rocks! I've just to the venue at 1350, queue is more than 250 people, I counted! Kinda. Anyway, snakes round to Kentish town road.
No one has any idea on numbers of tix, how many per person, the venue seems kinda empty.

My brother just got there. He said the queue is "immense". I said the last post I saw mentioning numbers in the queue was around 200 and he said "no, much more than that" so anybody setting off now, you might want to think twice. Will keep you posted.

jonpca is right. I just did a quick and dirty head count and I'd say there are about 400 people in the queue at the moment.

The queue reaches all the way down Buck Street round to Kentish Town Road.

If they're selling any more than 2 tickets per person, anyone arriving much later than now is going to have to be lucky to get a ticket (that includes me).

The venue holds about 1000 and there will no doubt be a guest list as long as your arm, so maybe 800 tickets on sale?

I'm in Kentish town road at the end now. Gonna be stuffed if it's more than 2 per person I think.

As much as I'd like go and for my brother to get me a ticket while he's there, to be fair to all of those who have gone out of their way to get there early and line up in the horrible rain, I think that the venue should limit it to 1 ticket per person. That way, all those who did go there, get in, as they rightly deserve.
